This is a simple, lightweight, and cheap way to use a headset with standard jacks on your Xbox 360. I love that I can use my PC Gaming Headset to chat with my party.

I’d like to make it clear, however, that this adapter won’t let you use your headset for in-game audio; you’ll only be able to speak and hear your party. If you’re interested in hearing both chat and game sounds, look into something like this product: XJacKer Xbox 360 Kit Game Sound + XBL Chat With Your PC Headset on Your XBOX 360.

It works as its supposed to. Is splits the TRS(2 ring) 2.5mm headset jack on the xbox 360 controller into a TRS 3.5mm heaphone jack and a TRS 3.5mm microphone jack. First the sound is mono and is for GAMECHAT ONLY. I see that some people gaave the product a bad review simply because they did not read or do the research and expected this to allow them to hear game sounds, WHICH IT DOES NOT NOR IS IT INTENDED TO. So in essence there are too many people who give products bad reviews because of the wrong reasons which makes it that much harder to confidently but products online.

My only design qualm with this device is that it does not fit as securely on the xbox controller as I would like(partially due to its design and partially due to the torque the type of 3.5mm connectors I have plugged into it)If you use plug in right angle plugs or plugs that are small with flexible cables then I probably will not be a problem. I am looking into buying a small 2.5mm extension so it does not have to be connected directly to the controller at all to solve my problem. This will require me to open up the device and remove or break off the plastic braces to be able to fit the extension cable on it.

I would have liked a volume control and a mute switch. but I am satisfied with what I have for the price.
